Welcome to the sportsbook reviews section of the site! On this page I will recommend my three favorite sportsbooks for USA residents. Click through to any of the reviews for a more in depth look at the various aspects of the sportsbook.
Why do I only recommend 3 sportsbooks? A lot of betting review sites will recommend pages and pages of sportsbooks and expect you to wade through all of their reviews. This is a time consuming process and it can often result in you joining a sketchy sportsbook that should never have been recommended in the first place.
I wanted to provide a simple list of just three reputable sportsbooks that I truly feel are the best options for Americans looking to bet online.
Here is a list of a few of the boxes each of our three recommended sportsbooks had to check off in order to make our list:
- The deposit and payout options are easy to use. Offering extra options helpful to Americans was a bonus.
- The bet offerings thoroughly cover all of the most popular sports to bet on here in the USA.
- The customer service team is easy to get a hold of, knowledgeable and able to help.
- The sportsbook is committed to growing within the American market. The sportsbook must have been in the USA market for several years and proven they expect to fight to stay viable in the United States for the foreseeable future.
The three sportsbooks I’ve chosen are all popular across the United States. They’ve each built strong reputations among Americans by providing a great betting platform for several years and showing their commitment to sticking it out in the American sports betting market.

Based on the criteria I outlined above, these are the three best sportsbooks for American residents.
I’ve ranked the sites from #1 to #3 with SportsBetting.ag taking home the crown. That said, I do recommend opening accounts with all three of the sportsbooks so that you can compare betting lines between the sites and take advantage of their bonus offerings.
HowToBetUSA.com Sportsbook Awards
Here is a look at which sportsbook is the best for various criteria. If a specific criteria is the most important to you these awards could help you pick the best site for you.
Best Deposit Options – SportsBetting
SportsBetting has the widest variety of deposit/withdrawal options for Americans. They accept Visa and MasterCard, but take it one step further by accepting American Express as well in the credit card category. They also accept bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin in the cryptocurrency category, as well as Skrill, bank wires and cashiers check.
It’s the wide variety of cryptocurrencies accepted for both deposits and payouts, as well as being the only sportsbook on our list that accepts American Express, that sets SportsBetting apart.
Biggest Welcome Bonus – BetOnline
BetOnline offers a massive welcome bonus of up to $1000, as well as a cryptocurrency bonus good for another $500. Both bonuses are 50% matching bonuses, which means you receive bonus dollars equal to half of your deposit amount.
Best Value Welcome Bonus – SportsBetting
BetOnline may have the biggest welcome bonus in terms of dollar value, but SportsBetting.ag has the same bonus offering, so I figured I’d give them this category.
SportsBetting offers a 50% matching bonus up to $1000 for first deposits, as well as the same 50% up to $500 bonus for first time cryptocurrency deposits.
Most Betting Lines – Bovada
If there is a professional sporting event taking place in America, or even around the world, chances are you can bet on it at Bovada. The selection of bet offerings at Bovada is wide. The trick is knowing how to navigate their site to find the betting line you’re looking for.
Best For Mobile – Bovada
The Bovada website was designed with mobile devices as the priority, making the website extremely easy to navigate on your mobile phone or tablet.
I actually find the Bovada website easier to use on my mobile device than my computer.
Most American – SportsBetting
Bovada restricts a few States from joining, which eliminated it from this category. That left SportsBetting.ag and BetOnline.ag, both of which accept players from anywhere in the United States.
I’m giving the slight edge to SportsBetting in this category because they accept American Express, which is used by 10% of Americans.
