It’s Super Bowl week! The Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play in Super Bowl 55 this Sunday, February 7th in Tampa, Florida. Both teams won their Conference Championship games in impressive fashion to set up an exciting match-up in the big game.
The Super Bowl is the most wagered on single day sporting event in the United States almost every year. With sports betting moving more main stream over the past couple years I’m expecting a lot of betting action on this years game, including plenty of new bettors here in America.
On this page I will recommend our top rated betting site for Americans, look at the legalities of sports betting in Virginia and Maryland, outline and Super Bowl 55 odds, and provide a simple 3 step guide you can follow to place your Super Bowl bets online.
Best Betting Site for Americans
|50% up to $1000||Review||Visit|
SportsBetting.ag is our #1 rated betting site for American residents, including anyone living in Virginia or Maryland.
SportsBetting is one of the most respected and popular online sportsbooks that serves the USA betting market. They are primarily focused on the American market, which shows through in their banking options, bet offerings and customer service.
SportsBetting accepts players from everywhere in the United States (no state restrictions).
Sports Betting in Virginia and Maryland
Virginia launched regulated online sports betting in the state last week, so there will be state licensed sportsbooks available to take your Super Bowl wagers online.
Maryland approved a sports betting bill in the November 2020 vote, which means a framework must now be created before regulated sports betting is introduced in the state. At this time it is still not legal to operate a sportsbook in Maryland.
If you live in either Virginia or Maryland, you can bet on the Super Bowl through offshore betting sites that are licensed and regulated outside of the USA. SportsBetting falls into this category, as it is licensed and regulated in Panama, while serving United States players.
Super Bowl 55 Odds
Here is a screenshot of the odds of the three most common bets you can make on Super Bowl 55 (taken February 4th). To see the updated odds head over to SportsBetting.ag, open the ‘Football’ drop down menu and select ‘NFL’.
The spread shows the Kansas City Chiefs as 3 point favorites. The Buccaneers are 3 point underdogs.
A spread bet on the Chiefs would win if KC wins by 4 or more. Tampa Bay spread bets would win if the Bucs win the game or lose by 2 or fewer points. Spread bets would push if the Chiefs win by 3.
A money line bet is simply winning on which team will win the game. The odds indicate your risk vs reward.
The Chiefs have money line odds of -165, which means you must risk $165 to win $100 betting on the Chiefs to win the game. The Buccaneers have odds of +145, which means you must risk $100 to win $145 on the Bucs to win.
The over/under is wagering on the total number of points to be scored in the game. The total is set at 56 for the Super Bowl, so you can wager on whether there will be more or fewer than this many points scored.
