The 2020 Belmont Stakes will take place tomorrow. The coverage of the race will air on NBC from 2:45-6pm with the post time of the race set at 5:42pm EST.
There will be some major changes to the Belmont Stakes race this year due to the ongoing pandemic. The Belmont Stakes will be the first race of the Triple Crown with the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes being postponed to September and October respectively. The distance of the 2020 Belmont Stakes will also be shortened to 1 1/8 miles from 1 1/2 miles due to concerns that the horses were not prepared for the long distance due to the lack of competition over the past few months.
With the Belmont Stakes being the first leg of the 2020 Triple Crown, I expect it to garner the same hype and national media attention that the Kentucky Derby normally receives. The race will likely be the most wagered on sporting event of the month here in the USA. For this reason I wanted to create this simple guide to help walk new bettors through betting on the race online.
On this page you will find our top rated betting site, some early Belmont Stakes odds, and a straight forward 3 step tutorial on how to get your Belmont Stakes bets placed online.
