In this example the Lightning are favored to win the game. The money line odds can be seen in the second column of the odds screenshot above. The Lightning have money line odds of -166, which means you must wager $166 to win $100 betting on the Lightning to win. The Predators are underdogs with odds of +145 indicating that a $100 wager would win $145 (payout $245) betting on the Preds.

The total is set at 6.5 goals. You can bet the over if you think 7 or more goals will be scored in the game, or the under if you think 6 or fewer goals will be scored.

The first column above shows the puck line odds. This is basically a spread bet. The Lightning (-1.5) would have to win by 2 or more goals to win the puck line bet. A $100 bet on the Lightning -1.5 would win $150 (payout $250). For the Predators +1.5 bet to win Nashville has to either win the game outright or lose by 1 goal. This is the more likely outcome, so you would have to risk $170 to win $100 betting on the Predators puck line in the above example.
