**Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr. was cancelled. Check out our Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva betting article to learn how to bet on Paul’s upcoming fight.
The Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight fell through once again with Tommy Fury pulling out of the fight for the second time in a row. Jake Paul will instead face 12-1 professional boxer Hasim Rahman Jr. in the August 6th event at Madison Square Garden, with the fight broadcast on Showtime PPV.
Jake Paul is currently 5-0 in professional boxing with his level of competition increasing each fight. He did have to fight Tyron Woodley in a rematch after Tommy Fury pulled out of their originally scheduled fight last December, but Paul elevated his performance, knocking out Woodley in the rematch after winning a close decision in their first fight.
Tommy Fury was meant to be the next step up in competition for Jake Paul. He’s an 8-0 professional boxer who has hype behind him as the younger brother of heavyweight champ Tyson Fury. Unfortunately Fury has now pulled out of two scheduled fights with Paul. In his place Jake Paul will fight Hasim Rahman Jr. who is actually a much bigger and more experienced boxer than Fury. Rahman is a 6 foot 3 inch heavyweight boxer with a 12-1 record and over 100 amateur fights. He’s also the son of former heavyweight champion, Hasim Rahman, who knocked out Lennox Lewis to win the titles back in 2001.
If Jake Paul can get a win over Hasim Rahman Jr. he will prove himself as a legitimate, quality, professional boxer.
