Ryan Garcia will return to the boxing ring this Saturday, April 9th to face Ghanian boxer Emmanuel Tagoe in what will be Garcia’s first fight in 16 months. The fight will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio and will be broadcast on DAZN.
Garcia is one of the most exciting prospects in boxing. He’s 21-0 and he solidified himself as a legitimate contender when he won the WBC interim lightweight title by defeating Luke Campbell via 7th round TKO in January of 2021. Garcia was then booked to face Javier Fortuna in July with the winner becoming the mandatory challenger to WBC lightweight champion Devin Haney, but Garcia pulled out of the fight in April citing mental health management.
